A peristyle of large stone columns supporting an arched roof has beautifully carved friezes and exquisite frescos that adorn the ceiling. Underfoot, the walkway is illuminated by glow globes on either side, shining upon a circular geometric design with the image of the Atreides Hawk worked in tiles of emerald and black. From this colonnade, known as the Grand Foyer Euterpes, the courtyard opens into the Hall of the Palladium through an archway.

A dozen guards in elaborate ceremonial uniforms line the walkway from the steps to the entrance arch. The impressive arch, mounted on carved twin columns forms the entrance to the Embassy proper. The columns are about ten meters tall and set wide enough apart for twenty people to walk abreast. They are sculpted into guardian cherubs, each wielding a sword. The keystone of the arch is inscribed with the Atreides motto:
