This young lady was born
a couple years ago to the Lord Mintor Atreides and the Lady Yardia. The little
one is quite young, and has been under the tutelage of her Bene Gesserit nanny,
the Sister Jacinta. She's soaking up information like a sponge, and at the
moment, is spending time getting to know her two cousins, Sergei and Josef
Rastanyev, as she's being kept under protection of House Rastanyev at their
Embassy.
Brad DarLeken-Atreides
was born on Caladan, obviously as most know, the Atreides home planet. He was
born to his parents Count Darian DarLeken and Countess Charlotte Atreides. He
was brought into a busy world of House Minor Darlek, an extremely loyal House by
means of marrying right into the Atreides gene pool.
Despite of having an
elder sister, Sveena, born to the same parents, Brad was made na-Count of House
Darlek and heir to the fief of the planet Deklan. The honor was recognized by
then, cousin Siridar-Duke Praxton Atreides. For being only an infant, Brad has
already been bestowed upon for success for the future of House Atreides and
House Darlek alike. It was difficult for his parents to raise a child with much
promise, therefore to assist in their sons challenges, they have placed him into
mentat training.
As he grew out of his toddler years, Brad began his
mentat schooling on Caladan, placed in care of Master Pontalus Tarquinius at the
age of 4 years old. It was not until his fathers death that Brad began to lose
interest in becoming a Mentat. At the age of 16, he went back to the Deklan and
went into his parents asteroid/moon mining businesses believing it may have been
one of his father's deathwishes.
During his time on the mines, he has
found a knack of being a sound politician, handing with the business bureau and
making and successfully completing deals that have created more funds for House
Darlek and House Atreides. The newfound talent put politics as his number one
desire, placing mentat training very low on his list of future
endeavors.
Shortly after enjoying the fun of politics, and a few
successful deals later, the teenaged Brad was pressured back into mentat
training by his Master and the school. They could not allow mentat training go
incomplete. Not wanting to take the responsibilites of a Mentat,
DarLeken-Atreides made his Kaitain his home, or perhaps a sanctuary. He served
as a diplomat under his cousin Siridar-Duchess Margot, and then uncle
Siridar-Duke Lysander.
After the banishment of Praxton and his daughter
Helen, Brad along with his mother and sister, left back to Caladan for political
reasons. Charlotte, his mother, announced her retirement and his sister, Sveena
remained behind to continue political work there. As for Brad himself, it was a
mistake as he got himself dragged back into mentat training, not on his own free
will. Brad, however, was introduced back into mentat-schooling by a different
approach. With some basic learning and re-educating himself, Brad was able to
come back to Kaitain and act as a mentat-in-training and as a diplomat. To place
more responsibilities on his shoulders, he still remains as na-Count of House
Darlek.
Currently, at the age of 23, he remains on Kaitain, in the midst
of a near civil-battle between two noble born cousins, assisting both cousins to
do any deeds.
Etrio was born on
Caladan, a son to a local fisherman and a housewife. He has grown in the Jero
village with his brother and sister, a village somewhere off the main
continents. His years working by his father made him a strong man, and it never
surprised his family when Etrio asked his father to learn in the military
academy of House Atreides. The military academy was the first time he has made
any contact with House Atreides. However, once he was in the age of 19, Etrio
had a very big life trauma which made him to completely change his attitude, his
father was murdered by a spy, from House Harkonnen it seemed. On that day, Etrio
decided to put the war attitude aside and dedicate his life for bringing peace
to the empire. With that decision, he gathered enough money and using also his
parents savings to learn in the Imperial Diplomacy School on Kaitain. Finally,
Etrio found his way to the Atreides castle on Caladan and on the year 10103, he
was hired by House Atreides and served in their lines as a diplomat.
Unfortunately, during the first year of his serving, he found that his dream is
much far to get than he thought, which for somehow made his a little more
agressive but yet not enough to kill a man.
LADY KALLESTA JENNATHENE POLLUX-RAUROLOS
Born in the year 10080 in
the city of Lucina on Planet Caladan -- the "Emerald Light" Kallesta was a gift
to her parents Donovan II & Xenia Raurolos. The third of the children born
to that family, she was the daughter that Xenia prayed for. Growing up, she was
the perfect child. She idolized her diplomat father and was trained by her
military uncle, also taking interest in the arts of the Thespian and of music.
However, when she was a child, brief amnesia occurred when she was thrown from a
horse when riding...thus causing her constant premonitions...or so she says.
When she was 16, they moved to Cala City to be closer to the house of their
devotion: House Atreides. For what reason, her father never said. She became
Junior diplomat, a lady representative of her house. But later she found out of
her eldest brother Alexan's abduction, falling into a deep depression for 4
years until her mother died. The death of her mother bridged what gap had been
made. Her father allowed her marriage to a Thespian man, Jeremy Pollux who then
only a few years after their marriage died of a mysterious disease...the same
year her father disappeared. Now she is the last left of her family, as her
brother Ardekar, her only friend, became a part of the military -- thus the
title of Diplomat/Lady of House Raurolos was given to her. She is now on a hunt
to reveal the secrets of her family.
Born to a merchant and
his wife in Cala City, Renard LeAir is you're normal above-average guy. During
high school, he excelled in fencing and track, winning in many inter-school
games. He entered the Atreides military at 17, right after leaving high school
with honors. He began playing the baliset and singing during high school also.
After spending 3 years in the military with the 16th PE light infantry recon on
Caladan, having honed his rapier skills in all his free time (which was alot),
he left with an honorable discharge to focus on a life as a troubador. He began
playing the baliset and singing for a living and was brought to the attention of
the Atreides household. He was brought to Kaitain as a resident thespian at the
age of 26.
