A Disposition of Atreides Military Forces

The disposition is based on Regiments of 600 combat troops with support personnel. If a unit is considered mechanism regiments contain 150 vehicles. With support personnel.

Atreides military forces (excluding naval and space assets):

-Peers
The peers are the personal bodyguard of the Siridar. They are 12 men strong and highly trained. Their sole duty is to protect the siridar from any harm, whether in peace or wartime. In peacetime they tend to be a plainclothes unit. During wartime they can be used as infiltration/exfiltration unit, and specializes mostly in Combat SART.

-Ducal guards
Mainstay of the Atreides army. The ducal guard has a wide variety of troop types In total there are 7 active Ducal guards regiments and 3 call-up regiments comprised of reservists.
The Ducal guards structure is based on 3 brigades of 2 regiments which in wartime will be bolstered with a reserve regiment. One regiment stands out being solely charged with guarding the atomic stockpile
